Splendor Valley Farms Utah has incredible access to all seasons of outdoor activities, including skiing, mountain biking, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, backcountry skiing, ice fishing, hiking in the National Forest, rafting, canyoneering, National Parks and horseback riding. There is plenty of parking space for multiple vehicles and trailers with all the toys, and with the game room, the kids will create great family memories! Local amenities include local arts and culture, a petting zoo across the street, Oakley Rodeo (get tickets early) and Kamas Pioneer Day.

Splendor Valley Farms Utah intends to be the premier Agricultural Tourism ("AgriTourism") operation in Summit County. We define AgriTourism as:

  • Supporting and enhancing Summit County's family farms and historical ways of farming by maintaining viable small-scale/historic agricultural operations and their essential rural setting in Summit County
  • Providing the County's culture to the broader stakeholders in the area, including CSAs, private chefs, restaurants, residents and visitors (tourists)
  • Providing education, work opportunities and food services
  • Offering access to the fabulous year-round activities Summit County has to offer from winter activities, including skiing, snowmobiling and cross-country skiing, to summer activities in the nearby Uinta National Forest, including hiking, camping and fishing

We expect to see purchasers of our products and other products, other providers, customers and students availing themselves of the agricultural education courses we will offer. We expect to host attendees of invitation-only activities focusing on sustainable farming in general and on Summit County in particular. Splendor Valley Farm's operating, agroecology research and education activities will be highly focused on AgriTourism in Summit County:
