Planting Has started in Earnest
We finally have some decent weather. Maybe? This is Kamas Valley and long time residents have told me they have seen snow in the valley in every month except August. Anyways, we are out planting and hope we won’t lose some starts like we did with the beets and maybe (hope not) the pears from the frost. Anyways, we are committed. Take a look at the asparagus. In the row we have two types of asparagus and rhubarb. Never seen anything like it.
On the other side, a ton of raspberries (two types), currents and gooseberries. The only thing I worry about with the gooseberries is I’ve never seen a thornier bush. Anyone wanna help pick when they’re ready? If you look closely or magnify the picture, you can see the canes. Pretty cool.
