Ready to Plant

We have a great planting schedule we worked out with our resort clients. We have water–almost– but the fields are under snow. The onions are sitting there. Ready to go. Forecast says we can start. Here’s the challenge for water: The pond is thawed, but has to be very, very cold. The pump hose has to go in the middle and sunk 8′. It’s in a milk carton with rocks, so even if it were warm, you can’t swim in it. The irrigation guy just laughed.So as soon as we are ready to hook up the irrigation ditch, I’ll show you a picture of me in the kayak, which I’m probably gonna tip! Til then!
